Golf Clubs
and Flag
¶ red, white, blue
¶ I have only 5 chips for sale.  Other than the one pictured, the others are a red and blue (nice condition but manufactured without "paint."  The other 2 (a red and a white) are well worn.
¶ scarce chip by my experience.
¶ incidentally, the heart-target-shaped thing with a spike, in the middle of the chip, is a hole marker, often called a "hole pin."  It would be stuck in the ground near the hole; the hole would appear in the heart-shaped area.

w/ Flying
Turf
¶ white
¶ hard to see in the scan, but both SDA and SDD have grass turf at the bottom of the chip.  This code, SDD, has a small protruding piece at the lower right, which has been called "flying turf."  The "flying turf" is shown on only one side of the chip.  They are found in about 2-3% of Golfer in Knickers chips.

Golfer in
Jacket
¶ red, white
¶ very nice condition.  Usually I find these scarce chips in very poor, dried out condition

SDS
p 304
Fishing Rod
& Hunting Gun
¶ red, white, blue
¶ wonderful, near mint chips.  I remember the day I bought my rack of these.  These chips have a great feel to them.  They are a little larger and thicker than the usual poker chip.  Also unusual for a non-inlay chip is that they have thick square edges!  They are so well made, you feel like taking a bite out of them!  I'd rate them uncommon-scarce.
$5

p 304
"If the Dog....."
SOLD
¶ white, blue -- the white one is great on one side; other side has a large edge nick.
¶ worn condition, but OK
¶ I wonder why more poker chips were not made with interesting action scenes like this one.  Scarce chip shows scene of a hunter (who has a rifle) pointing with his free hand to the fleeing rabbit.  He wants the dog to corner (?) or catch (?) or track (?) the rabbit for him, but the dog isn't moving forward as, as seen in the chip, the dog is defecating.  So "if the dog hadn't been.........," it would have caught the rabbit for the hunter!
$25
SOLD
SEP
p 304
Dog on a Log ¶ a red-orange color (with gold paint).
¶ the red-orange ones are mint to near-mint condition.
¶ quite rare-scarce till 40 chips were found recently.
¶ notes: I used the chip from my personal collection for scanning purposes.  The chip you will be getting is much nicer.............  I hope you can make out the great design -- dog's rear legs are to bottom-left on ground, and the two front legs (paws) are resting on a thick log at bottom-right.
$20

p 304
Bronc Rider

¶  blue -- crest and seal chips.
¶ chip has some burns on one side, other side is OK --  as are all of them on the market now, to my belief.
¶ In 1928 these chips were shipped to the Cheyenne Cigar store, Cheyenne Wyo., per U.S. Playing Card Co. records.

p 304
Jockey on Horse ¶ red, white and blue, and a million shades of these colors.
¶ this is the most common clay composition design poker chip ever made.  At one time I thought perhaps the Stop Monkeying, Rams Head, Golfer or Motorboat was the most-made chip, but it clearly is this Jockey chip.

SGA
p 304
Shure Winner (two tone) ¶ red, white, blue
¶ this is  a pressed/embossed paper chip.  Both sides are the same, except the horse is running in different directions on the two sides.
¶ this is an advertising chip to some extent.  "Shure" and/or "Winner" is the name of a large mail order (novelties, etc.) house.  I have it in my records some.
