RARE 1800-CHIP CAPACITY PROFESSIONAL TWO-TIER RACK BUILT INTO SUITCASE
(SORRY, BUT SOLD)

I have never before nor since seen a rack like this.  Looks to be from the 1930'3-50's.  Oh, what memories this set-up must have.  It is NOT a homemade "arts and crafts" job; it is professionally, probably factory, made.  The case is 19" x 14" x 4.5."  Inside are the two wooden trays that have handles and perfectly fit into the case.  It is in very good condition, for the most part.  I have not attempted to clean the case.  As seen in the pictures, the suitcase is worn on some edges but is structurally sound.  The two snaps work fine.  The two wood trays are in exceptional shape
(hardly worth mentioning and not noticeable at all are two rather small nicks in the wood at the ends of two columns.  There are 18 columns for the 1800-chip capacity (each column is divided into two 50-chip compartments).   And then there is one large column (three compartments to that "column") for sundry items like dice, playing cards, currency, etc.  Both wood trays lift completely out of the "suit case."  54 regular round-edged inlaid clay chips easily fit into each of the 36 chip compartments, which would make for a 1944-maximim chip capacity, and 48 thick square edged chips so fit, which would make for a 1728-chip capacity.

$150 plus postage.
